A landscape painting of New York. When I was painting this picture, I was in the middle of a solo exhibition in New York City, and having chosen not to go to New York, I was thinking about New York from Japan. I was thinking of the streets I used to walk, the noise, the stillness of the morning, the purple dawn, the smells, and my senses. I used resin to give a glossy finish.
